Hey! It's that time again - Sew Mama Sew Giveaway Day! I've been participating for years and years and it's always a fun event. Today I'm giving away a bundle of 5 pdf sewing patterns (pictured above) and my photography e-book to one lucky winner AND a friend of their choice. To enter, leave a comment below sharing your favorite holiday activity. To up your chances to win, there are a few optional entries. Good luck!

    My favorite holiday activity (besides just getting to be with my family) is how we always stick to the traditions we've had all through growing up (everyone waking up early, opening presents one at a time by age, playing board games throughout the day, and going to a new movie at night).

    I love decorating the Christmas tree with my family--now that my younger sister and i are quite grown up, she'll put the lights on the tree and insist we come over before Christmas to put the ornaments on. It's a great time for storytelling and making new memories.

    My favourite holiday activity is taking it easy! My family live abroad and because traveling during Christmas is stressful we like to meet up at other times of the year. So I just spend time with friends and my cat and my sewing machine!

    I love to put the Christmas tree on, with all the decorations (daughter loves this), decorate the rooms and entrance, add a nice Christmas wreath to the front door and most important, the Nativity scene, with the shepards, the three kings and the star guiding all to the stable.

    My favorite holiday activity is probably driving around the city with my kids looking for the greatest lights! This is the first year my babies have really appreciated it and gotten excited. Now whenever we drive past a cool lookin' light display my son yells, "SLOW DOWN, MOM!"

    I live in Australia so my favourite thing to do in the holidays is swim in the ocean or lie in the warm pools that form on the shore and make 'dribble sandcastles' with the wet slushy sand.
