life in black + white | june. . .


School is out! I'm loving not having to get up at the crack of dawn but am feeling a bit of pressure when it comes to keeping the kiddo entertained. She would be more than happy to stay home everyday but I can't handle just sitting around. There were several times this week where I planned to head out  during the 'golden hour' to get some photos at my favorite spot for backlighting but those pesky summer storms had other ideas. Yesterday was the same but I was determined to get out and get some photos. We raced down to this spot during a break in the rain and had fun jumping in puddles.

    These are stunning & timeless. The jumping shots are so dynamic, but I just love the first image, where you are showing just a hint of profile. Standing on one leg, with the ripples and water dripping off the raised foot, just beautiful, classic images of childhood.
