My kiddo turned 5 yesterday! While each one of her birthdays have been special, this one just seems to more of a big deal to me than the others probably because this is the year she'll start kindergarten. Eek! While I'm sure I'll enjoy the extra free time (does that really even exist when you're a parent?!), I can't say I don't have reservations about it. I just plan to make the most of the last few months of her being a 'little' kid.
Looking back, it's hard to remember life before Sydney. Five years doesn't seem like such a long time, but so much changed the day she was born that it seems like I've lived a whole new life since. In a nutshell, I became a mother, I rediscovered my creative side, I picked up a camera again, and I became a blogger. Happy birthday, kiddo!
Awe Happy Happy Birthday to your little, or not so little anymore ;), girl!! My daughter turned 5 yesterday too! It's a bittersweet moment isn't it?!

ReplyDeleteaww, she is just so beautiful! happy birthday to your girl :) my oldest is turning 5 in 2 months and i have mixed emotions... it's so neat to see them grow into who they are, but the baby chub is fading too fast for me. - Erin
ReplyDeleteOur girls are the same age---I love this age but wish I could freeze time and could keep her with me like this for just awhile longer.

My little girl turned 6 on the 22nd. I agree that it's very strange thinking of life before them, but those years aren't that many at all. Happy late Birthday to your daughter!
