strawberry yogurt + orange juice popsicles
I spotted these adorable pink + yellow popsicle molds at Ikea last week and had to get some. I wasn't sure I'd ever use them but for $2 I was willing to take the chance. Yesterday, I grabbed a few things from the fridge and got to work. I blended up a couple of tablespoons of nonfat greek yogurt with several strawberries, poured the mixture into molds, and set them into the freezer for about an hour. Then I simply poured in some orange juice, put in the handles, and back in the freezer they went. By the time we got back from running errands, the pops were ready to eat. Since I didn't add any sugar they were more tart than sweet but we prefer them that way. Next time I think I'll try adding in some blueberries and raspberries too.

ReplyDeleteoh these look amazing! I want to eat them off the screen!!! I think I'm going up to minneapolis (and of course ikea) in a couple weeks, I've been looking for popsicle molds all summer!
ReplyDeleteyum! I have some molds that I haven't touched yet this summer. Yogurt looks like a good thing to try! Also-
ReplyDeleteloved your pizza recipe! I just made some pesto 2 nights ago and will try soon!
They look so yummy, such a great summer treat. You should try making some with lemonade or limeade. Or maybe that's just something I'd want to do...
ReplyDeletep.s. I'm so jealous you can just pop over to Ikea. We have to drive about 2 1/2 hours. Needless to say we have to wait for long weekends.
Delicious idea to combine flavours in popsicles! Also try orange and pomegranate juice.
