We attended our local United Cerebral Palsy telethon this weekend and my kiddo was given a t-shirt to wear to the event. I tried it on her a few days before the telethon and decided it was a bit too big and boxy for the little squirt. Perfect excuse to buy a new sewing pattern! Not that pattern junkies
really need an excuse. . . anyways, I bought the "
Recycled T-Shirt Halter Dress" pattern/tutorial by
Lil Blue Boo and made this dress the day of the telethon. I didn't have any cool t-shirts to cut up for the extra fabric I needed so I just bought some knit yardage at Joann's. The dress was a hit! Easy to make too. I'd say the hardest part was hemming. If you use t-shirts, you can avoid that craziness.
