This little sew-a-long took on some epic proportions, at least in my book. It far exceeded what I thought was possible and I just want to send out a huge thank you to everyone one who joined in! Whether you made one dress or fifteen, I know each and every one will be greatly appreciated! It just goes to show how generous the crafting community is! Over 200 dresses were submitted to the
Flickr photo pool and I know that there are still some people out there finishing up a few more. Simply amazing! We might just have to do this again next year! Remember that in the meantime, you can sew and send dresses to
Dress A Girl Around the World whenever you want! Also, there is a
photo album on the Dress A Girl site that
Mary created where you can share pictures of your dresses.
I also want to thank my co-hosts, guest bloggers, and giveaway sponsors who helped get this up and running. Thanks to those sponsors, I've got lots of goodies for 2 lucky winners! I wrote down a name for each dress that was uploaded to the photo pool and then randomly drew two names (eyes closed, promise!)
Send me an email at sevan76dress {at} gmail {dot} com so I can get your adresses, etc and get those prizes out to you!!! Congratulations :)
ps. Virginia of
Gingercake is offering up a special coupon code for everyone who participated in the sew-a-long! Use it to receive 30% off all the patterns in her
shop! Head over to her
blog for all the details.
Thank you for hosting this and congrats to the winners! I have a few dresses to finish up before I mail all seven of them out!

This was so much fun, I really hope you do it again next year. Making these dresses is so addicting, I have several more I want to do before I send them off. Thanks so much for doing this! :)
ReplyDeleteI had such high hopes of participating in this, but I became so sick at the end of last week with strep throat; on top of that, I had a bad reaction to the antibiotics, which placed me in no position to sew at the beginning of this week! I still plan on making some dresses to send off soon! Great job organizing such a cool event!
