I made the kiddo a new top using the Little Joey pattern by Make It Perfect which Toni was kind enough to send over. It's seriously cute! It comes with a few options and I chose to do the regular collar and mid length sleeves. The only changes I made was to shorten the skirt to tunic length and made the pouch pocket a bit taller. It's a simple enough sew and came together fairly quickly. I made the size 4 and the fit is spot on.
So, I have a thing for big bold floral prints. I've had this fabric in my stash for a while - pretty sure I got it from Girl Charlee. It reminds me a bit of those awesome still life paintings by the Dutch Masters. On a side note, did you know that you can download high res copies of any works in the Rijks Musem collection to use for projects? May have to get some fabric printed up! Anyways, the fabric is a really nice weight and has a good amount of stretch. Great for this project because I don't think a thin drapey knit would have worked so well. This top will be perfect for the cooler weather this fall and I see it getting lots of wear!

and yet another fantastic Little Joey outfit! Just bought this pattern yesterday as I've been so inspired by all the lovely versions that have been popping up. Love that you shortened it to tunic length - it looks great paired with jeans! Thanks for the tip on making the pocket a bit bigger.
